Introduction

Club AUsome is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children, young people, and adults involved in our activities. This Safeguarding Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behaviour and the measures we take to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, volunteers, and staff.

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

We are dedicated to protecting individuals from harm, abuse, and neglect. All members, volunteers, and staff must adhere to this Code of Conduct to maintain a secure and supportive environment. Club AUsome reserves the right to report any safeguarding concerns or information expressed to our team to the relevant authorities.

Expected Behaviour

All individuals involved with Club AUsome must:

  • Treat all children, young people, and adults with dignity and respect.
  • Act as positive role models, promoting inclusivity and kindness.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and avoid any behaviour that could be misinterpreted.
  • Listen to concerns and report any safeguarding issues following Club AUsome’s procedures.
  • Comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data protection guidelines.

Unacceptable Behaviour

The following behaviours are strictly prohibited:

  • Any form of physical, emotional, or verbal abuse, bullying, or discrimination.
  • Engaging in inappropriate relationships with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
  • Any actions that could be interpreted as grooming or exploitation.
  • Failing to report safeguarding concerns or ignoring signs of abuse.
  • Sharing inappropriate content or engaging in activities that endanger the well-being of participants.

Safeguarding Procedures

  • All safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to Club AUsome’s designated safeguarding lead.
  • Concerns will be documented and, where necessary, reported to the appropriate safeguarding authorities.
  • Confidentiality will be maintained where possible; however, safeguarding concerns will be escalated when required to protect individuals from harm.

Implementation and Review

This Safeguarding Code of Conduct is effective from 18/02/2025 and will be reviewed regularly to ensure compliance with current safeguarding legislation and best practices.

By participating in Club AUsome activities, all individuals agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the organisation’s activities and, where appropriate, referral to safeguarding authorities.
